We are pleased to announce that Mr. David L. Ferguson recently joined the firm and has a variety of experience assisting startup companies and nonprofits with business and tax law matters.
Ferguson said, “My wife Amanda and I moved home to Wichita from Chicago/Madison to get involved in what we viewed as increasingly intentional efforts to make Wichita and the surrounding area a better place to live and start and grow ‘new economy’ businesses. Having spent time in larger markets, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact that the expansion of and investment in high-growth companies can have on a region’s economy and quality of life. There is an incredible opportunity in Wichita to apply lessons from other markets to make our home town truly something unique. Sam has recognized this fact for nearly a decade, so when he opened the doors at Foreman Law I was immediately interested in the potential opportunity to combine our efforts in the high-growth and community development spaces. Foreman Law’s focus on my professional passions, coupled with its twin emphasis on providing legal services utilizing a 21st century delivery model that ensures top-of-the-market level talent and products for our clients while safeguarding the well-being and satisfaction of the firm’s attorneys and their families made Foreman Law an easy call. I am very excited to see what the future holds for our city and our firm. It should be a very cool ride.”
“David brings more than just a great legal mind to our team with his experience working with entrepreneurs, startups and tax matters,” said Sam Foreman. Even more than that, he brings the right values and vision to what we’re trying to create as a firm. We are trying to create a firm that is intentionally focused on creating a thriving community, and doing so with professional excellence and a strong commitment to the family lives and well-being of each attorney. I am continually impressed by David’s diligent and creative work to make our community a better place, and even more than that, the very high level of professional excellence he has achieved without compromising his commitment to prioritizing his family life.”
Prior to joining Foreman Law, Ferguson spent three years as a tax and corporate associate with a large Kansas-based law firm and one year as a federal law clerk in Madison, Wisconsin.
